The program has a unique interdisciplinary structure comprising of courses in Basic Natural Sciences, Geography, Agriculture, Geology and Mining, Natural Resource Management and Environmental Law. This program is in demand currently due to an increase in environmental issues, climate change, resource use, deforestation and other ecological problems that is having a huge impact on our lives. The program has been specifically tailored to meet the needs of local and Pacific work force. Graduates will find jobs in local and national governments, in private sector as environmental officers / managers / consultants, as teachers/lecturers, as academic researchers, in tourism industry or in nature conservation.
The program is comprised of a total of 24 courses over a three year period, including university wide courses as well as interdisciplinary courses. Students are required to do 8 x 100 Level courses, 8 x 200 Level courses and 8 x 300 Level Courses.
Year 1 and Year 2 of the BEs will follow the same structure as the Diploma program.
