Admission Requirements

To be admitted into the Bachelor of Agricultural Engineering programme under the Science Department of the University of Fiji, an individual must:

Achieve an aggregate of at least 200 marks out of 400 and a minimum of 50% in English in the Year 13 Examination or equivalent.

The individual must have taken at least two Science or related courses in Year 13 or equivalent.

Apart from these requirements, individuals should meet other admission criteria outlined under clause 2.0 of University academic regulations and procedures.

Mature Student Admission: Individuals may be admitted as mature students if:

➽ They are over 21 years old; and

➽ The Senate or its delegate determines that they will likely complete the Bachelor of Science in Earth and Planetary Sciences programme successfully based on their academic background and work experience; and

➽ The Senate or its delegate determines that they will likely complete the Bachelor of Agricultural Engineering programme successfully based on their academic background and work experience; and

➽ They pass any course(s) or examination(s) that may be required by the Senate or its delegate on a case-by-case basis.

Has attained at least a Diploma/Trade Diploma in Environmental Science/Agriculture/Agroforestry/Fisheries/Forestry/Aquaculture/or similar.

Has attained at least a Diploma/Trade Diploma in Engineering (any emphasis) or similar.
