Admission Requirements
Persons shall be eligible to be admitted to study for a Master of Laws (LLM), if they have:
✅ An LLB degree or equivalent with: A minimum GPA of 3.0; or
✅ At least 3 years of professional and/or research experience deemed equivalent to this GPA.
✅ Each application is considered individually, and recognition can be given to other extensive practical, professional or scholarly experience of an appropriate kind, such as:
➽ Other degrees or qualifications;
➽ Research and writing (for example, published or unpublished articles);
➽ Special training and/or expertise in a particular area; or
➽ Appropriate work or other related experience.
✅ Applicants are required to provide supporting information and documents with their applications, together with any appropriate references or reports.
✅ Approval to enrol for an LLM depends on:
➽ Qualifications;
➽ Ability to research and write independently at the required level;
➽ The acceptability of the proposed thesis project;
➽ The availability of resources; and
➽ The ability of the Faculty to provide adequate supervision
✅ Graduates from a university other than the University of Fiji must submit certified transcripts of their degree results, research proposals and academic writing samples with their applications.
