Transforming Energy Access – Learning Partnership (TEA-LP)
The University of Fiji is part of a global consortium of 23 Universities under the Phase II of the Transforming Energy Access – Learning Partnership (TEA-LP) programme (Fig. 1). The Transforming Energy Access (TEA) programme is a research and innovation platform, funded by UK Aid, supporting the technologies, business models and skills needed to enable an inclusive clean energy transition and achieve SDG 7: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. The Project funding organization is the United Kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).

Course Uptake Workshop (CUW)
As a key component of the TEA-LP programme, Dr Sekove Vodo and Dr Ramendra Prasad of the University of Fiji participated in the Course Uptake Workshop at the Strathmore Business School, Strathmore University, Nairobi, Kenya from the 5th – 9th June 2023.
The overarching aim of the workshop was to support the uptake of the new courses, as well as to connect all our universities in a Community of Practice for energy access and the achievement of SDG7.
UniFiji will take two TEA-LP courses namely; Course #1: Local Solutions for Energy Access and; Course #2: Mini-grids: Planning and Design as one Master level course in the MScREM programme.
